Cinemas around Manchester

Vue Manchester Printworks & IMAX

The Printworks, 27 Withy Grove, Manchester M4 2BS, UK – 0345 308 4620

Fantastic experience! Great seating, great staff, and the prices are amazing. Makes going to the cinema fun again without costing you an arm and a leg. Visit so much more frequently now.

I was pleasantly surprised by the ticket prices. After the extortionate rates of the Odeon that previously occupied this space, £4.99 I thought was very reasonable. Seats are comfy and generally a nice venue.

Showcase Cinemas

Hyde Rd, Manchester M12 5AL, UK – 0871 220 1000

Bring the Mrs here regularly when we want to come to a cinema that is not over busy. It is a good location with ample parking. The food items are good though slightly pricey like any cinema. Overall it is a good cinema with decent screens.

I'm a regular here pretty much every week. I go alone, but the staff make me so welcome I just love the place. Certain times the cinema isn't busy and that's what I aim for. The seating in some of the screening rooms has been updated to larger seats with cup holders, but the cinema still maintains it's unique style and atmosphere. I recommend the cinema for staff, cleanliness and atmosphere.

ODEON Manchester Great Northern

235 Deansgate, Manchester M3 4EN, UK – 0161 817 3000

Good cinema to go to. Has a car park below where you can park quite cheap if you validate your parking ticket upstairs at the cinema. Be careful if you lose your parking ticket though you will have to pay around £25! So hold onto it!

Was the AMC. Entry price is cheap but Odeon have not had a chance to put their stamp on it yet so it's a mix of ok, worn and needs replacing / updating. Chairs I sat in had little padding and were really worn. But it's always been a quiet cinema so moving to find some less used was a doddle. Needs a good renovation but once done will be a good cinema to go to. Until then enjoy the cheap entry.

Theatres for Manchester

HOME, Manchester

2, Tony Wilson Place, Manchester M15 4FN, UK – 0161 200 1500

Watched Loving Vincent here on Saturday. What a lovely place. The view. The atmosphere. The decor all really nice. We had lunch in the restaurant. Nice, friendly and attentive staff. Delicious food. Great choice. Lots of choice in the drinks. Very reasonably priced. I'd definitely come again.

The best in theatre and cinema under one roof. Excellent staff, value, food+drink and programming. Become a member and make substantial savings on ticket prices and priority booking for new season shows and popular events. Highly recommended venue.

Palace Theatre

97 Oxford St, Manchester M1 6FT, UK – 0844 871 3019

I just wanted to congratulate the staff at The Palace. I took my four grandchildren to see Joseph on Friday. We were 5 minutes late due to issues with traffic and hold ups at the car park. Due to the delay all the kids needed the toilet but we were guided very efficiently first to the toilets and then to our seats at an appropriate time in the performance and the staff were wonderful. Well done!

We go to Manchester Palace a lot - we enjoy musical theatre and the shows have always been amazing! Recent productions: We saw "Son of a Preacher Man" which was brilliant. "The Carpenters Story" not so much - it is not a "show", as such - just a group of talented musicians singing and playing "Carpenters" songs...
