Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Manchester

Rosso Restaurant & Bar

43 Spring Gardens, Manchester M2 2BG, UK – 0161 832 1400

We went for my Bridal Shower. The vibe was really nice. The food was nice too. We had a booking and was running 5 minutes late. We called the restaurant and they were really nice and said it was fine. It was really busy. Therefore the waiter took ages getting back to us. Overall it was a nice experience. Would go back again.

This restaurant is located in a truly beautiful building! You may just want to grab a table at the bar to enjoy it! In terms of the food, I had gnocchi and they were okay but I wouldn't recommend them. It is a traditional dish and it was revisited in a way that didn't really do justice to it. The atmosphere was nice and the service good also.

The Restaurant Bar & Grill

Ridgefield House, 14 John Dalton St, Manchester M2 6JR, UK – 0161 839 1999

I had been meaning to try this restaurant for a long while as I walk by it regularly and heard some really good things. We first arrived 20 minutes early so was sat in the bar for a drink which we had planned for. We then waited patiently as the FOH had told us she's come should us to our table when it was ready. At 9:40 we had asked whether we could sit down and eat as after an hour we were very hungry! We were then told upstairs that they hadn't been able to find us - which is odd as we could see the reception from our table at the bar! We then sat and ended up ordering and then recieving our food close to 11 with a few extra sides we hadn't ordered and flat bread coming as a starter rather than with the main as requested. However, the food was delicious - we had the duck and half rack of ribs - and drinks also lovely. The service was hit and miss except for one waitress, brunette and all in black who was lovely and really improved the whole experience for us. She apologized for our poor start to the night and asked us not to leave with a negative view point of the restaurant. For her I will try the restaurant bar and grill again, perhaps on a week day or lunch this time!

Dissapointing. Everybird menu two courses with drinks. Still came to 70 quid. Steak was tough and not very favourful. There are much better places in the city centre.

Prezzo - Manchester Deansgate

82-84 Deansgate, Manchester M3 2ER, UK – 0161 834 7637

Bustling and lively, the team which work here go fluidly about their work. Meaning you are never waiting too long to get served. Perfect if you need something to go, immediately. Nice views from the window afford those sitting in reading the paper a chance to people watch, and the atmosphere is not so overpowering that you couldn't sit in with a friend for a chat. The lemon and ginger herbal infusion is lush.

Nice hidden treasure we found in our adventure through the city centre. Employees were very hospitable, and the food was great! I recommend trying the garlic bread.
