Manchester Royal Infirmary

Oxford Rd, Manchester M13 9WL, UK – 0161 276 1234

My son Daniel Shaw was admitted via A & E last Friday night 20th October at approx 11-30pm with injuries due to cycle crash at the Velodrome taking part in a race. The service we received was excellent, the A & E was packed with various complaints most not serious or A & E candidates. We booked in and within 15 mins was called to Triage for assessment and moved to Resus where they found he had a broken collar bone and a collapsed lung he was admitted and kept in until Sunday morning and the treatment he received was exemplary. Many thanks for doing a super job under such awful conditions.

All staff are lovely, they work so hard to provide the best care and as quickly as possible. Never able to sit down because they are always on their feet helping each person. Can't at all fault the staff they was very helpful and ensured everyone knew where they was up to.

Our daughter recently had an op and was admitted to ward 76 for the day. The staff are great & friendly and put your child at ease. We dont live local, about three hours away but the long drive was worthwhile for the excellent care she received. Very busy hospital, but would highly recommend. St Mary's Hospital

Oxford Rd, Manchester M13 9WL, UK – 0161 276 1234

St. Mary's hospital has the best service from newly mothers and newborns. The staff are so efficient and caring, you can tell they are very dedicated to fulfilling their code of practice perfectly. Thank you for all the staff who have helped us get through labor ad delivery safely. God bless you all! Well done!

After a long and traumatic experience of childbirth elsewhere, we entered the last stage of pregnancy with some trepidation. Come the day, we arrived at St Mary's at around 3am, quickly checked in to the Midwifery Led Unit (Ward 47), and given a clean, well equipped and comfortable room. A few hours later, we were holding a happy and healthy baby boy, birthed in a pool. I can't speak highly enough for the friendly, professional and caring staff that cared for us, and the 100% positive experience we had in our time there. Amazing. Thank you x

The new NHS website below is very well worth a look. Hospitals are not only listed but evaluated. I certainly know which ones I would go to! At the very least you will know what questions to ask if you are sent to one which has not entered its data. Good luck!
