Local Chambers of Commerce for M12 4NL. These can be an extraordinarily effective way of getting into the business community and / or getting things done. Equally they can be entirely useless depending on the chair. If they have networking events associated with them definitely go, and keep going, if you have a business that need local support. What you put in is exactly what you get out. Below is the national site. Watch this slot - it might improve!
Manchester City Council

Albert Square, Manchester M60 2LA, UK – 0161 234 4343

The interior of the Town Hall is wonderful. Visit the person on the desk by the door, there you can get a visitors pass to go up to the first floor. On this level you can see the magnificent Great Hall, Conference Room, Banqueting Chamber etc. Well worth a visit.

Had lunch there ... it was really nice and very relaxing just sitting in such an historical place.

Dental Surgeries

Oasis Dental Care Manchester

14 St Anns Square, Manchester M2 7HQ, UK – 0161 834 2627

Fantastic service throughout treatment. Sometimes takes some time to reach reception via the phone but the front line, nurses and dentists have all been fantastic.

Superb dental practice...staff are really nice. I am quite scared of going to the dentist, but since i have been a patient at 'Oasis' i have almost overcome that, and dont find it as traumatic as i once did thanks to my dentist and the rest of the team.

Smylife

Pall Mall, Manchester M2 4DL, UK – 0161 830 7300

I have just come home from smylife - smiled all the way back ! I went to see the hygienist - I paid £60 and it was worth every penny ! lovely woman - excellent service ! Lovely receptionist - couldn’t ask for anything more from them !

Totally transformed my mouth and face. I can smile again! Everybody who works there is so friendly and professional, Phil (the dentist) is an absolute star. If you want your dentist surgery to be a happy place then do give them a try. I'm normally a nervous patient but that's no more. Top marks.

The Vallance Dental Centre

Brunswick St, Manchester M13 9UJ, UK – 0161 273 5998

Such a bright, clean, modern dentist with friendly and helpful staff who actually feel as though they care. I really like that it has evening appointments available..... And the chairs are comfy

I had work done on the NHS because I'm currently on low income/benefits. I needed two extractions and two fillings. Within a couple of weeks of contacting them the work was completed. I didn't have to pay a penny. The place seems clean and well equipped. The surgeons, nurses and staff were all friendly and professional.

Cornbrook Medical Practice

63 Booth St W, Manchester M15 6PR, UK – 0161 227 9785

Quick, I was treated very nicely, they were very helpful. Thank you.

One thing I like about cornbrook medical practice is that the GP's spend time to listen and understand their patients needs in order to deliver an excellent service.

Ailsa Craig Medical Practice

270 Dickenson Rd, Manchester M13 0YL, UK – 0161 224 5555

It's a busy medical centre. It can be hard to get an appointment but the quality of service is very good

Friendly helpful staff, just what you want at a doctors surgery.

Gorton Medical Centre

46 Wellington St, Manchester M18 8LJ, UK – 0161 223 1113

Dr Siddiqui is a good doctor but the practice is incredibly busy and it is almost impossible to get an appointment. I was prescribed new medication and told to make a follow-up appt for 2 weeks' time, but they don't have the GP diaries available in advance so I was told to check back on Monday. I was out all day Monday, and by Tuesday, according to the online booking service, nearly all appointments were already booked up! How is it possible to book everything so quickly within one day?! Problems with the booking system here have meant that I have missed basic health checks such as a regular smear test, because it is impossible to schedule for the right time.

Patient of Dr Lai. Its obvious from paying this doctor a visit that she just doesn't want to be there. If it's a friendly doctor you want then stay clear. On top of that I have picked up a prescription today which is the 3rd one in a row that is missing something. God forbid if she actually had to read all of 3 items on a prescription request. On a positive side, the reception staff and nurse are great and simply couldn't be any nicer.

NHS Direct is now NHS 24. Just dial 111 to speak to a professional or click the link below for there self help website. Lots of really useful info but keep clear of heart surgery! If in doubt ask your GP or call 111. Good luck.

Manchester Royal Infirmary

Oxford Rd, Manchester M13 9WL, UK – 0161 276 1234

My son Daniel Shaw was admitted via A & E last Friday night 20th October at approx 11-30pm with injuries due to cycle crash at the Velodrome taking part in a race. The service we received was excellent, the A & E was packed with various complaints most not serious or A & E candidates. We booked in and within 15 mins was called to Triage for assessment and moved to Resus where they found he had a broken collar bone and a collapsed lung he was admitted and kept in until Sunday morning and the treatment he received was exemplary. Many thanks for doing a super job under such awful conditions.

All staff are lovely, they work so hard to provide the best care and as quickly as possible. Never able to sit down because they are always on their feet helping each person. Can't at all fault the staff they was very helpful and ensured everyone knew where they was up to.

Royal Manchester Children's Hospital

Oxford Rd, Manchester M13 9WL, UK – 0161 276 1234

Our daughter recently had an op and was admitted to ward 76 for the day. The staff are great & friendly and put your child at ease. We dont live local, about three hours away but the long drive was worthwhile for the excellent care she received. Very busy hospital, but would highly recommend. Thanks to u all, including outpatient appointments and ultrasound department.

My son was admitted for 1 week. The care he received from the HDU ward and Ward 77 was absolutely fantastic, the nurse's are lovely and everything he needed or asked for they provided. Thanks very much

St Mary's Hospital

Oxford Rd, Manchester M13 9WL, UK – 0161 276 1234

St. Mary's hospital has the best service from newly mothers and newborns. The staff are so efficient and caring, you can tell they are very dedicated to fulfilling their code of practice perfectly. Thank you for all the staff who have helped us get through labor ad delivery safely. God bless you all! Well done!

After a long and traumatic experience of childbirth elsewhere, we entered the last stage of pregnancy with some trepidation. Come the day, we arrived at St Mary's at around 3am, quickly checked in to the Midwifery Led Unit (Ward 47), and given a clean, well equipped and comfortable room. A few hours later, we were holding a happy and healthy baby boy, birthed in a pool. I can't speak highly enough for the friendly, professional and caring staff that cared for us, and the 100% positive experience we had in our time there. Amazing. Thank you x

Household Waste Recycling

Ash Rd, Droylsden, Manchester M43 6QU, UK – 0161 370 1517

Went today perfect couldn't complain needed to get rid of rabbish

Great guys here. Always helpful.

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

Sigh... 10 years and still nothing changed.. Food is the same, decor the same... Rather mediocre but then again all rest. In the center of China town doesn't fair much better. Worth a try...

Beijing Chinese Restaurant

48 Portland St, Manchester M1 4QU, UK – 0161 228 0893

Finding a good takeaway that delivers in Manchester is a hard ask. New Beijing isn't brilliant, but it's the best of a bad bunch. We must have tried about 20 Chinese takeaways (that deliver) around Manchester and they have all been terrible. New Beijing isn't restaurant quality, but it's good enough to keep us coming back when we can't be bothered to cook or go out. So if you're looking for a Chinese delivery, I'd recommend this one.

Tiny Steps is a fabulous nursery and learning environment. My son has attended since September 2015 and his personal development has been noticeable. Thanks to this nursery he is now very positive and his confidence has increased immensely. The staff are friendly, professional and very competent in their work. My son loves the outdoors and the outdoor play area in this nursery is the best I've seen by a long shot. I am pleased that my son has benefited from this nursery and would highly recommend to anyone else.

Outstanding nursery! I have no worries about leaving my son in Tiny Steps care! Staff are thorough in everything they do and keep me updated on my child's progress, learning and development on a daily basis . My son has done brilliantly since attending and I am pleased I chose Tiny Steps. Keep up the good work!
